Service Description
An effective medical mission begins long before a team arrives. It requires prayerful discernment, honest listening, and careful planning to ensure the help being offered reflects the priorities of the community and its local healthcare partners. Red Shot Medical provides planning and advising for churches, nonprofits, healthcare teams, and mission leaders developing or strengthening medical outreach programs. Drawing on her experience in emergency medicine, personnel management, global health, and humanitarian service, Bryn Kroto, DMSc, PA-C, helps organizations move from a sense of calling to a responsible, workable plan. Every organization, destination, and partnership is different. Advising may include: Clarifying the mission’s purpose, scope, and measures of success Aligning plans with identified priorities from local leaders Determining appropriate team roles, personnel needs, and leadership responsibilities Strengthening communication, delegation, and team coordination Preparing participants for culturally humble and ethically responsible service Considering logistics, safety, contingency planning, and resource limitations Developing pre-departure education and spiritual preparation Reviewing the mission afterward to identify lessons and responsible next steps Support can focus on a specific planning challenge or provide broader guidance as the mission takes shape. Prayer Is Freely Given. If prayer is appropriate and you want it included, Bryn may pray with you during your session. You are not paying for prayer. As a matter of fact, we encourage you to do this on your own, and with other trusted people in your life. Your fee pays for coaching time, preparation, professional experience, and guidance. Red Shot Medical provides planning and educational guidance. Sponsoring organizations and their local partners remain responsible for clinical oversight, licensure, insurance, participant screening, travel arrangements, safety requirements, and final operational decisions.
